SYNOPSIS:

Milton Musical Society are excited to be back at The Regent performing the award-winning 9 to 5 The Musical. With music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, the musical is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie from Twentieth Century Fox. Set in the late 1970s this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic.

Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events,
Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains "otherwise engaged", the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can't she?

Performed by the award-winning
Milton Musical Society. With nearly 60 years of theatrical experience, they have previously performed Kipps - The New Half a Sixpence, Chess, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and the highly acclaimed sell-out My Fair Lady.

Please Note: This production contains comic sexual reference, light drug use, and the occasional swear word.

The pawns in this drama form a love triangle; the loutish American chess star, the earnest Russian champion & a Hungarian born English woman who arrives at the international chess match in Merano,Italy, with the American, but falls for the Russian. From Merano to Bangkok, the players, lovers, politicians and spies manipulate & are manipulated to the pulse of a monumental rock score that includes "One Night in Bangkok" & " I Know him so well", not to mention "Anthem" & "Nobody's Side".
