Sometimes, when you take your seat at the theatre, you just feel that something special is going to happen, and MMS’s first night of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - The Musical - was just one of those times.

The shear size and quality of the orchestra, the nice set, the buzz from the audience already had you tingling..........and then it started........and we were not disappointed!!

Clever use of lighting and a video backdrop to set each scene; beautiful singing, great choreography all served to enhance some brilliant performances and the chemistry between the Scoundrels was fantastic.

The first half was terrific but the second half was par excellence. We laughed and laughed and laughed ‘til we cried.

All brilliantly conceived and executed.

Well done MMS, give yourselves a big pat on the back

The collaborators on CHESS are giants of rock music and rock musicals, & here they have created a complex rock opera that has played to full houses and standing ovations around the world. In this musical, the ancient game becomes a metaphor for romantic rivalries, competitive gamesmanship, super-power politics & International intrigues. The pawns in this drama form a love triangle; the loutish American chess star, the earnest Russian champion & a Hungarian born English woman who arrives at the international chess match in Merano,Italy, with the American, but falls for the Russian. From Merano to Bangkok, the players, lovers, politicians and spies manipulate & are manipulated to the pulse of a monumental rock score that includes "One Night in Bangkok" & " I Know him so well", not to mention "Anthem" & "Nobody's Side".
